Homegoing Service for Willie Dell (Brady) Thomas

INFORMATION ON THE HOMEGOING SERVICE FOR
MRS. WILLIE DELL THOMAS
Mrs. Willie Dell Brady Thomas, 77, of Fayetteville, North Carolina was born in Chambers County, Alabama on October 31, 1931, oldest of nine children of the late William and Clydie Dell Brady. She departed this earthly life to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Her beloved husband, retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Baxter Franklin Thomas preceded her in death on January 12, 2007. At the time of his death, they had been married 48 years. Mrs. Thomas leaves three daughters: Lynne Thomas of Four Oaks, NC; Rev. Cassandra Thomas and Vanessa Townsend both of Fayetteville, NC; one son-in-law: Sergeant First Class Milton Townsend, US Army, currently deployed to Iraq; one grandson:
Reginald M. Thomas-Wilkerson of Greensboro, NC; one granddaughter: Jaime Townsend of Brunswick, OH; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
The family will receive visitors at Paye Funeral Home, 515 Murchison Road, Fayetteville, NC 28301 on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, from 4 PM to 7 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at College Heights Presbyterian Church, 1801 Seabrook Road, Fayetteville, NC 28301 on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Noon. Interment will be in a private family graveside service at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 400 Murchison Road, in Spring Lake, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the following charities in memory of Mrs. Willie Dell Thomas: College Heights Presbyterian Church Sunday School Department, c/o Joyce Malone, church administrator, 1801 Seabrook Road, Fayetteville, NC 28301 or the Care Clinic, that supports individuals who do not have sufficient medical insurance for care, c/o Mrs. Floy Beard, 418 Fairfax Avenue, Fayetteville, NC 28303.
